What a view! This the downstairs light- filled bistro area. You can sit in or out. The menu offered a lot of tempting choices but we selected the healthy bowl. We were on a long walk. It was delicious. The waiter warmed up to us after a while! Gruff would best describe his welcome. For $21 & the view it was a great deal.

It’s a great recharge spot for brunch and lunch when you walk along the harbour track. Chill and relaxing.

So I’ve been here so many times. Today was different. Must be new staff. They were all so ridiculously nice and helpful. One man was so kind. So thoughtful. He came over and asked if my friends child can have the marshmallow with his baby chino! He was allowed it. I just cannot explain how much we appreciate the gesture of him asking. He also asked the kitchen if they would be willing to cook chips for our kids 10 minutes before the kitchen opened. I didn’t ask him. He offered. I hope he sees this review because his kindness and thoughtfulness was truly appreciated. Then another young man spoke to us when we were leaving and he was also so incredibly friendly. The drinks were great, the food was great and obviously the atmosphere and customer service were incredible. I will continue to go. And now with even more enthusiasm than usual.

The newly opened Archie Bear on the lower level of the Mosman Rowers is a great new waterfront cafe option that is away from the hustle and bustle of the main harbour but still offers that iconic Sydney sea-side dining option that you desire. It’s easily reachable via the ferry or car. I ordered the Soba noodle salad with celery, cucumber, coriander, mint + soy-lime dressing. This is a good light meal option, it’s filling enough without being too heavy (there is also an option to add chicken). It’s not table service, you go up to order your food which is fine as they still serve it to your table. The menu is decent enough there is something for everyone, a good casual waterfront cafe.

The location and ambience of this cafe is great. Unfortunately the food is sub par but priced high only to set the expectations high and not meet them. If I were to return it would only be to order a drink and enjoy the ambience, the food is not worth it and the flavour combinations in the summer burrata salad I ordered today were strange. It came with canned peaches and sun-dried cherry tomato. I thought they got it wrong but the menu indeed says sun-dried cherry tomato (but not canned peach, just says peach) With fresh peach and fresh cherry tomato it would hve been a delight. Perhaps they chose tinned ingredients for ease of preparation. It didn’t quite meet the mark, for a $26 salad but we still enjoyed the atmosphere.

A down to earth cafe hidden at downstairs of the club. Order at the counter but food are served to your table. Not overcrowded even it’s on a Sunday. great for couples or family. Food is average. The pasta was boringly spicy. Price is average given the location
